Blue Chalcedony Natural Stone Mass
Chalcedony , a subspecies of quartz, has a waxy sheen and is usually found in blue-white colors. It can also be yellowish-brown, beige, gray, yellow, green and brown.
The international name of Chalcedony stone, which has been used in Anatolia since the Hittites (perhaps even earlier), was first used during export activities during the Roman period.
In the Roman period
The stone, shipped from Istanbul's present-day Kadıköy Port, took its name from the port. Chalcedon was Kadıköy's name at the time. Having fallen into a deep silence with the Romani withdrawal from Anatolian lands, Chalcedon flourished again in the late 1970s with the Sırrı Gerçin Kalsedon Mining Operations.
